Secrets of the Tally

Secrets of the Tally by Halie Fewkes

After waking up in a forest with no memory, Allie must navigate a world filled with ruthless, human-hunting Escalis with the help of strangers (who know her, but she can't remember them) and mysterious tally marks on a piece of paper she found in her belongings.

Not everything is what it seems, though. Each person who claims to be close to Allie knows a different version of what she learns about herself. Soon she discovers the double life she played to find a shred of balance between Humans and Escalis.

When the twists hit in this book, they hit hard. The world building in this book is phenomenal, especially with how Halie Fewkes developed the history between Humans and Escalis and their magic system.

'Secrets of the Tally' is plot-driven, so if you like action-packed pages, I highly recommend this book!

QOTD: What book had a plot twist that you didn't see coming?
