Truth About Editing A Book

I promise editors aren't evil!

They have your story's best interest in mind. Sometimes that means suggesting you delete chunks of your precious ink baby.

I scrapped 80% of Candy Sky Tells A Lie after my first developmental edit. It was the best thing that could have happened to my book. (If you ever read my first draft, you will understand what I mean.)

Good writers are willing to rewrite, rearrange, and cut for the bigger picture of their books.

As the saying goes, "kill your darlings."
