Writers Prepare for Camp NaNoWriMo

Only weeks away from April, thousands of writers are preparing to write novel-sized works for the biannual event Camp NaNoWrimo.

Camp NaNoWriMo is a "light" or teaser version of National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, which is held in November. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words in 30 days--basically a whole book in a month. But for Camp NaNoWriMo, participants can set their own goals and write with "cabin mates," or other writers that they are paired in to a virtual “cabin” with. Camp NaNoWriMo occurs twice a year, and its first session will begin on April 1st.

If you love writing and want to connect with creative and like-minded people, consider giving Camp NaNoWriMo a shot. Not only will you start (maybe even finish) a first draft of a written piece, but also you can obtain writing resources, tips for publishing, and pep talks from published authors. And if you have fun, consider participating in the main event this November--NaNoWriMo.
